Friday Feels #1: Finding my voice
Part 1: Unconvering Buried Treasure
Friday Feels is an excavation. I don’t know what we’re going to find, but I know I’ve been burying shit for a while. Mostly, I expect we’ll find parts of me (and you, too) that have changed and maybe become more valuable than when we buried them. I’ve mostly been burying shit that I didn’t know what to do with, and the first thing I think I’ve found is my voice.
I rewrote this 4 times over the past month, turning it around and upside down, trying to look at this artifact from multiple angles, and thanks to my field partners Pranjal, Mathias, and Joel, this morning I had a breakthrough. I discovered that my tone varies greatly depending on what I’m feeling, the subject, and the audience, and that’s perfectly normal. However, I wanted to have a little dig site here where I can be vulnerable and exploratory - where I can be a little softer. So, for the first few issues we’ll explore this in 3 parts:
